Your Vote Matters in North Marysburgh

Municipal elections do not always receive the same attention as provincial or federal politics, but the decisions made at Shire Hall are often the ones we experience most directly in our everyday lives.
They affect our roads, emergency services, planning and development, housing, local businesses, agriculture and fisheries, public spaces, infrastructure, and how responsibly our tax dollars are spent. Moreover, they shape what kind of community we are building, what we protect and how well our municipality responds when residents need help.
That is why I am asking every eligible voter in Prince Edward County to make a plan to vote in the 2026 municipal election—regardless of who you ultimately choose to support.
A Few Votes Can Change Everything
In a community the size of ours, your vote carries real weight.
Municipal races can be decided by remarkably small margins. A handful of neighbours who decide to vote (or decide to stay home) can change who represents an entire ward for the next four years.
It is easy to think, “They won’t need my vote,” or, “One vote won’t make a difference.” But locally, it absolutely can. Your vote may be one among hundreds rather than one among millions, and close elections are a powerful reminder that every ballot contributes to the final result.
Voting is also about more than choosing a name. It is an opportunity to think about what matters to you, ask questions, meet the candidates and decide who you trust to listen, communicate honestly and represent your community.
As a candidate for North Marysburgh, I hope to earn that trust. I am running because I care deeply about this ward and believe residents deserve representation that is accessible, practical and genuinely engaged. I want people to feel comfortable approaching me, challenging me, sharing concerns and asking direct questions.
But whether you vote for me or not, I still want you to vote.
Important Voting Dates
There are several ways to participate in this election.
Advanced Voting takes place on October 17, 2026.
Online Voting will be available from October 17 through October 26, 2026.
Election Day is October 26, 2026.
Please mark the dates, confirm that you are on the voters’ list and choose the voting option that works best for you. Talk to your family, friends and neighbours, too. Sometimes a simple reminder is all someone needs.
Help Us Get North Marysburgh Voting
I am also looking for volunteers who would like to help during the campaign.
That may include joining me for door-knocking, helping distribute campaign materials, speaking with neighbours, sharing voting information or reminding residents when and how they can cast their ballots. You do not need campaign experience. You simply need some time, a willingness to meet people and a belief that North Marysburgh is stronger when more residents participate.
While I would be honoured to have your support, our door-knocking efforts are not about pressuring anyone. They are about reaching people, listening to what matters to them and encouraging them to use their voice, regardless of whom they choose.
If you would like to volunteer, meet me, ask questions or learn more about my campaign, please reach out. Whether you can give an afternoon, an hour or simply help remind a few neighbours to vote, it all matters.
This election belongs to the people of Prince Edward County. Let’s make sure our community’s voice is heard.
